1) Action: selective against Homoptera, causing them to stop feeding.
2) Uses:
a) Control of aphids and whitefly in vegetables, potatoes, ornamentals, cotton, deciduousand citrus fruit, tobacco, hops; both juvenile and adult stages are susceptible.Also for control of plant hoppers in rice.
b) Application rates vary from 150g/ha on potatoes to 200 - 300g/ha on ornamentals,tobacco and cotton; 10 - 30g/hl on vegetables, fruit and hops.
1. Pymetrozine is an which is highly seiective against plant sucking insects.
2. It can controll peach-potato,currant/lettuce and potato aphid on outdoor crops of lettuce, leafy herbs and baby leaf brassicas.
3. It penetrates green leaves and is transported systemically within the plant.
4. Growers are advised that pymetrozine quickly prevents aphid feeding and although there is no immediate knockdown effect,aphids do not feed again.
