Procymidone
Procymidone is a pesticide.
It is often used for killing unwanted ferns and nettles, and as a dicarboximide fungicide for killing fungi, for example as seed dressing,
pre-harvest spray or post-harvest dip of lupins, grapes, stone fruit, strawberries.
It is a known endocrine disruptor (androgen receptor antagonist) which interferes with the sexual differention of male rats.
It is considered to be a poison.
procymidone are dicarboximide fungicides used to control diseases, such as blights, rots and molds in vineyards and on certain fruits
and vegetables. Workers can be exposed to them during handler activities such as mixing, loading, applying and flagging, or by re-entering
treated sites. Exposure to vinclozolin and procymidone can also occur non occupationally to golfers playing on treated golf courses and
homeowners coming into contact with sod which has been previously treated on a sod farm, or through residues in food and water.
